HISTORY

History and heritage

Malek Fahd Islamic School is Australia’s oldest Islamic school, founded in 1989 through a gift from King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. This same spirit of charity is one we hope to pay forward to future generations as we remain committed to promoting religious tolerance, cultural diversity, and academic excellence within the broader Australian society.

We are committed to providing an educational offering that is conducive to learning and practicing Islam, offering a curriculum where the Islamic worldview is used to implement programs aligning to the NSW Education Standards Authority syllabuses.

PURPOSE

Devoted to the success of each and every student

In addition to providing one of the highest quality educations in Australia, our teaching approach is aimed at growing the whole person, helping each student to develop their akhlaq and to live a virtuous and fulfilling life modelled around the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).

It is our duty to support each individual in achieving their full potential, and as part of our commitment to the ummah, we are devoted to the success of each and every student.

PARTNERSHIP

Partners with the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education

Malek Fahd Islamic School is proud to be in partnership with the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (C.I.T.E), a branch of the University of South Australia (UniSA) that is dedicated to promoting excellence in Islamic education and research in Australia.

Through this partnership, we have been able to align our school with the ideals of a modern Islamic education, ensuring that we provide students with a well-rounded, enriching, and inspiring educational experience that is guided by the principles of Islam.

ETHOS

Knowledge is light

At Malek Fahd Islamic School, dedication to learning is a lifelong act of worship.

Knowledge gained today becomes the actions of tomorrow.

In Islam, learning is both an act of work and worship.

When the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) received his revelation in the cave of Mount Hira, the first word revealed to him by the angel Jabrāʾīl was iqra, or “read”.

Through this prophetic revelation, Allah (SWT) made clear that the pursuit of knowledge is a duty bestowed upon every Muslim.

At Malek Fahd Islamic School, we believe education is a lifelong journey, extending beyond our schooling years to encompass our entire lives. In this way we strive to become lifelong learners in the eyes of our lord.
